Some final colour and a couple of twists

Nice bit of colour with these peppers (right) -

and when we were last in Venice these single figure Euros would have been several million Italian lira

Below on a smaller scale but a real twist - a full metre of it. Twisted black licquorice. We tried to bring some home for the kids - but it didn't make it!

And lastly not a twist but something which is a real reversal of the normally expected Venetian grandeur - the Jewish ghetto - typified by five storeys in a height which would normally take only three.
