Venice the "non photographers" dream

The first of Venice's gifts to the ungifted photographer is its sheer variety

Jesolo across the Canale di San Marco (left) and the unmistakable Campanile

A side canal (left) and the external spiral staircase of Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo. But the kindness of Venice to the 'non photographer' is even better illustrated by these next five shots of the Rialto bridge.

We may not have made a great technical photograph of this next shot of the Rialto but the action and energy; the contrasts of colour, texture, light and shade make a great picture of what Venice has to offer followed by lunch....._______________________.....and a rare shot with both of us in it!!

The shots continue with a bridge over the Grand Canal (Academia) and a bridge on the way to jail - or worse - (Bridge of Sighs)

.....whether narrow or grand -

.......or peppers and palaces
